I'm currently going "ga-ga" over this guy and I'm practically on Korean mode right now. He is considered to be the "uhm-chin-ah" in Korea (The type of man you would bring to your house as a future son-in-law to your mother) He has a nice singing voice. A versatile actor and an entertainer. Gosh! I mean, this guy is one total package deal. Too talented for his own good I tell you. Not to mention, a gentleman too. I've read a lot of articles about him and his co-stars would definitely say that he's such a gentleman.
Lee Seung Gi was born on January 13, 1987. He first debuted as a singer on June 5 , 2004 at age 17. He's a balladeer. When he debuted his first single, Because You're My Girl, it became so popular that he won "Best Newcomer" award in various music awards. In 2007, He won "Best Male Solo Artist". And the rest you can say we call is history. He garnered a lot of awards here and there and still he remained humble and low profile.
His first debut as an actor in KBS weekend drama "The Infamous Chil sisters" (2006). He played the main lead role character in "Shining Inheritance" (Brilliant Legacy) in 2009. The drama maintained it's top spot for weeks. The success of the drama boost Lee Seungi Gi's popularity both locally and internationally.
I have watched almost all of his dramas and I still can't get enough of him. I watched as his acting changes from his humorous Cha Dae woong of My Girlfriend is a Gumiho.
I haven't watched Brilliant Legacy, his first lead yet. In my defense it's because it's too long. xP I should have some patience over that drama. Ohohohoh. Let's not forget that since his a singer first, I happen to love his songs especially "Losing my Mind" (I think I'm about to. Ahahah) the OST for My Girlfriend is a Gumiho. I kept playing and playing it almost everyday and never get tired of it. Whew!
By this year, to all Lee Seung Gi fans out there. You should literally jump for joy, no need to raise your eyebrows at me because I already did that. I jumped up and down to the excitement of his upcoming drama "You're all Surrounded". He will play the rookie detective Eun Dae- Gu, a brusque, with the an IQ of 150 cop that has a photographic memory. He has a painful memory during his childhood and he has a problem with authority. Like what you read about his character? We shall find out more. Later. This is another "must-watch" K-drama on my list Ohohoho. Premier will be on the 7th of May 2014.
You can't blame me if I lose my mind (figuratively) over the likes him, can you? A singer, an actor, an entertainer, scandal free, down to earth and a true blue gentleman. Who wouldn't like him? Now, I'm losing it. :P
