December 20, 2015. The marked date that I will surely not forget. It was the day where I got to spend almost the whole day with my best friend, Mau. Ever since we parted ways, we haven't got the chance to spend some girl-bonding-quality time together. Though, the occasional we-eat-lunch- together scenario is also one of the moments that I treasure. Still, to bond with her like there's no tomorrow doesn't happen quite often.

Welcome 2016!!!

It's 2016 everyone!!! A new year to celebrate. A new year to renew. A new year to be firm on the resolutions that we have made both in the past and the present. A new year to make more memories.

One Summer

For a person who lived in a tropical country, I am never fond of summer. For one thing, it's way too hot and I can't stand the heat but since I live in a tropical country, I can't be not fond of summer for too long now, can't I?

I started the year by chopping of my hair and for the first time in forever I get to see myself with a hair length shorter that I used to.

I entitled this post NERD for two reasons: One, the word nerd means a person who studies hard and Two, I happen to like the word.

CROP it up

Dark skies and lightning flashes into the sky, as I ventured myself into some expected and unexpected kind of scenario. In an event that is all-in-one, I might have considered that night as one my busiest day. One, I have to be a gracious hostess for my cute little nephew's second birthday and two, I have to do what a girl's got to do. ;) (you know what I mean)

It seems like it was just yesterday when my best friend and I did our first collaboration. Who would have thought it would be this fast to have the second one?

Pink and Beige

Its been constantly raining here in my country. The omnipresent dark sky makes one's mood shift from bright to gloomy. Even though that I know it rains at this time of the year, one can't stop being hopeful that it doesn't. Truth be told it makes me miss the rays of sunshine, but, it doesn't mean that I don't like it.

Chasing The Sun

 One fine afternoon, three girls were having a "girly session" inside the newly furbish white house. One was very busy with doing her friends hair, the other was busy applying some makeup whereas the last one was curious of the outcome.

I have noticed that I tend to blog pictures that are way too late. Do forgive me again I'm just a mere human (a cute one on that. Violent reactions are very much welcome! kekeke).  As you can see, this is an  impromptu shoot, notice the lack of preparation? (It's not like I have prepared in all my shoots either. Ahahaha).  This was done more like as an icing on the cake (the cake being labs outfit shoot, see here: ) I got to admit labs did a great job on the editing department  (bows down). I still can't figure how to do it though. No coordination again. *Sighs

I must tell you first, this is not an outfit shot, again, an outfit shot just a random one that happens when you're with friends and some randomness suddenly happens.

Just a Girl

Like I've said in my previous blog, I'm feeling way too poetic for my own good and I can't help it. I have no control over it (so not true--contradictory: Alert!) I have succumb to my calling (which is to make poems)  and decided to go with the flow. This new poem of mine was inspired by the pictures that my best friend once took and here it is.Don't judge! after all I'm just a girl you know ;)

I know I have been a lazy blogger lately and I hadn't much time to blog about something. Fret not lads and lassies for this is not a reverie for I, Kim the Bookworm, have a new post to talk about. I have noticed that I haven't posted some of my outfit shots lately so I would grab this opportunity to blog about it --talking about opportunity, aye?

Spontaneity is the Name!

This happens when you thought you're just meeting your best friend for a nice hangout-- a chit-chat-kind-of-thing. And that "nice hangout" you thought of turns out to be an unprepared shoot you never think would happen. Considering the circumstances that you are not prepared for the said impromptu shoot, in the photographer's perspective it wasn't a bother ---at all.

Idle Sunday

This was taken yesterday Sunday on the 26th of January 2014. We were on our way to church when Tifa and I took a little detour and decided to stop and grab a bite at 7 elevens. While we were finishing our grub, we decided to sit on the grassy field just beside our building and listened to the songs from the Disney movie Frozen (were that addicted).

As we sat there singing along with the songs, we can't help ourselves but to call the attention of the passing jeepneys. Much to our disappointment since none of them dared to stop and wait for us (I mean who would?considering our circumstances. Hoeee!)

Enough of us being a lazy bum. It's finally time to go to our destination and since we let a LOT of jeepneys (Transport!!!don't be mean to us T-T) pass us by. Chance! we took our sweet little time (again) to wait and take pictures. Oh yeah!

My second outfit post. Tifa-chan call it "Emo". I don't know what to think. What about you?

Out from Work

I wouldn't be doing this since it is not my forte BUT a certain person told me it wouldn't hurt if I try. I was willing to do it when a sudden realization hit me. I forgot one important thing ---my camera. How sad is that? I gave up the idea and just thought of doing it next time.

I decided to go home with a friend since we haven't got the time to hang out lately and what do you know? It occurred to me that my friend, by the name of Steph a.k.a Tifa-chan (as I prefer to call her) has a cellphone, which she often use to take some pictures of me every now and then (you'll see what I mean).

The photo shoot that up until now made me laugh and made me embarrassed at the same time has now come to its end. As promised, I will post all of the pictures here in my blog once she's done editing. Though, It did took a lot of time since it needs a lot of concentration and skills  on her part (Now where have I heard of that before?). Yet, it's still make you wonder what pictures she'll put together (I've been there, I know.)

Yesterday, the photographer herself sent me a message saying that I should check out the photos on facebook. Which made me, by the way, confused as to what she is talking about. After a  long explanation and a lot of confusion on my side --again. I finally put two and two together ( That's four! Kidding.)

 And Viola!!! Here they are!!!

This shoot was done last month and I haven't got the chance to flaunt it in here (That's right, flaunt is the term people. :P). This Mau's first ever photo shoot as a photographer.  As her best friend, I intend to support her of her latest passion and her being my best friend, didn't stop her either from dragging me along as her err--model?

A quick reminder though these photos are just "Behind the Scenes" since Labs is not yet finished editing all the pictures which she entitles " Two of Us" by the way. 

Moreover, these are the photos behind the--ehem---I quote and unquote  Couple-ish pictorial according to her.

After waiting until the second coming (joke). We are now ready to do our first ever pictorial (gulps). But lets not talk about that.

As I have said earlier this isn't about me (whew. I'm saved)

FACT:

Models aren't the only ones capable of doing poses in front of the camera.

True. 

Photographers too but, they did it behind the camera.

Very true.

That didn't stop me from taking those photos though.Hehe

After taking a couple of shots here and there,  we changed locations. Deciding the place was the hardest part since there are so many places that they want to go to.

Thankfully, they finally decided as to where we are going next.

There are certain times where we want to treasure the moments that are already buried in hearts into a different form and the most common is through Photographs.

Because of photographs, millions of quotes and expression were formed. Quotes that rings truth in every word.

- True. For there are some instances that truth lies on what we see and not on what we hear.

“Taking pictures is savoring life intensely, every hundredth of a second.”

- By taking photographs we captured every joyous moment and not letting a second passes by.
